PTFE: polytetrafluorethylene Conventional PTFE prosthesis featuring major technical developments of the hook. Seat for guided opening: open the hook slightly and press the seat into the long process of the incus. The seat prevents a too wide opening of the hook which could compromise the elastic memory of the PTFE. Seat for forceps: the seat shows the exact point of hold and allows for a firm grip.
